This spell is incredibly cheap and OP. I suggest removing it and replacing it with something else (just to please the masses). This thread is not meant to discuss what would replace voodoo, but just merely establish that everyone wants it gone.

Death is necessary in SK. Voodoo and other one hit kills keep hoarders in check.

Nuke the damage to 1/4 of what it is so that it's mostly useful for maledictions and for ganking people who are already low on HP.

If it were nerfed in this manner, the paralysis timer would have to go down significantly.

How about these ideas? These are repeats.

- Change the Voodoo spell to Farsight. Currently the voodoo'd victim gets a snapshot (look into the room) of the shaman, why don't we have that reversed? Shaman now gets a snapshot of the victim plus maledictions, but no more damage. People will still be able to gank people (hi Achernar).

- Finney's idea. Voodoo can only be performed at portal stones. Shamans are required to draw powers of the ancients from the portal stones in the realms.

- Dark-Avenger's idea. Voodoo should apply a flag onto the victim and therefore a victim cannot be double voodooed. Although currently the damage is so much even without a doll and minimal +mana gear, it can kill a Grandmaster. Surely that is not working as intended?

No it wouldn't. As it stands no one ever uses voodoo unless they have more friendlies in the room with them than enemies online.

Seriously though, it's a fine balanced spell with the weaknesses it opens the caster up to factored in. Maybe make the timer after casting it variable on the damage done to the target?
