I've found, that the swash's skill finese is pretty easy to master, IMO, too easy. It barely took me fifteen minutes of combat to master it from fair.
However, automatic skills that check only each tick seem to take much longer than combat skills or spells/songs.

Finesse improves WAY too easily. My halfling swash also mastered it in less than a half-hour of fighting once I learned it from a trainer.

It's because finesse checks against like..everything a swashie does, parrying, riposting, disarming, hitting..
