Is spamming spells to get better at them illegal?

I was asked this a while ago and wasn't sure; I haven't found anything definitive to say yae or nay. "No bots" is clear - be the one hitting the button every time - no problem. But the 'no spam' rule goes on to specify the involvement of another player, not sitting alone and working on the exact way to pronounce "judicandus noselacri." My tentative answer had been "I don't think it's illegal, but ask someone else."

Any clarification would be appreciated - wouldn't want to lead the littler newbs astray.

It's usually fine, but there is an exception. You must always be able to roleplay. So you shouldn't stack your command buffer with 10 spells, leaving you unable to react to things.

But as long as you cast spells one at a time - which means waiting for the automated response before you cast again - you should be fine.

dont do it in public either. Do it in a remote place. I remember about 7 years ago I had a newbie I was spamming note read at the krychire boards trying to learn to read the language better and yenko yelled at me.

Keep yourself open to RP, but you can easily justify spell/skill spamming.

Just don't alienate the opportunity for RP, and not overtly spam other PCs.

Its ok to stack a couple of commands...you just want to be able to react in a reasonable amount of time. Don't ever do it in a location where there are other PCs: no one wants your spam.
