Is spamming spells to get better at them illegal?
That, is as long as they do not violate:
help rules wrote:
5. NO BOTS -- Because Shattered Kingdoms is a roleplaying mud, this naturally precludes the usage of client programs to automate your character (also known as using a 'bot') to play while you are away from the keyboard.
7. NO SPAMMING -- Spamming is defined as the continuous or repetitive printing of something to the screen, either in an attempt to annoy another player or to gain an advantage over him. Repeated violations will result in penalties or demotion.
I was asked this a while ago and wasn't sure; I haven't found anything definitive to say yae or nay. "No bots" is clear - be the one hitting the button every time - no problem. But the 'no spam' rule goes on to specify the involvement of another player, not sitting alone and working on the exact way to pronounce "judicandus noselacri." My tentative answer had been "I don't
think it's illegal, but ask someone else."
Any clarification would be appreciated - wouldn't want to lead the littler newbs astray.
