Sent a PM your way. Do realize 'straight there' varies in direction depending on where you are to begin with. You can set up aliases to get you from a place/to a place. And you can use a series of aliases to kind of get around. But I've found this sort of thing generally useless because of random NPC encounters/PCs that may want to attack (or engage in conversation). Depending on your telnet client, you may have some speedwalk feature/mapping device to help you get around.

Talking about mapping on a client, could someone send me a PM on how to set up and get mapping going on zMUD?

I was under the impression that such things were perlious because a) they can appear as botting even if you're at your computer and b) it doesn't give you time to interact with your environment, as Carita said with NPC/PC encounters.

When I was a newb I walked right past a god because I didn't know the gold aura meant god. Anyway, that wasn't a good thing to happen and speedwalk could get you into that sort of trouble.

Hey, at least all you did was walk past them. My first and only interaction with an Immortal was Algorab after I complained on my cabal channel about failed summoning attempts. She gladly proved to me that she doesn't really have to try to summon you and then proceeded to slay my [REDACTED] for being ignorant (gave me a massive xp boost for good, pissing my pants and running RP though). :D I miss Algorab.
