Toughness - Strong enough for a man but made for a griffon.

Anyone remember warcraft II? I played it a long time ago. Anyways, in the manual, there's this illustration of an upgraded troll axethrower, the troll berserker. It's this frickin' huge troll with two axes, foam coming out of his mouth, an arrow in his leg, and a shortsword stuck through his arm. And he's completely ignoring them, just charging blindly ahead.

That's kind of how I picture a barbarian. Unstoppable during battle, then near-death afterwards.

trolls have regenerative abilities. Maybe barbarians can get DnD style fast healing and regen hitpoints every round like the new magma.

At higher levels, the natural toughness of griffons is essentially worthless. It will deflect zakami and sheep hits, and that's about all.

Just because it's not deflecting (aka nullifying) a hit, toughness is not worthless. It's still reducing a chunk of damage from every strike.

I find that a little hard to believe when a mentor level NPC can do 50-odd percent damage in one round, but you obviously know the code better than I do.

Maybe you shouldn't be getting hit.

And mentor level NPC doesn't tell us that much about the NPC anyway. Good job at augmenting your argument by saying a lot of nothing.

Anyone who wants to rp a conan style barb can do it. The mechanics provide the means. My naked barb semitanked during a trip to the angel of hate (with no shield too) and fully tanked with two casters behind him reaching the temple of murder after killing all the fytrysks in order to make a key. And fury will help with the saves you lose from enchanted armor. So grab your spear, a kilt and go wild. Especially since you are a giant. :drunk:

I always wonderd if cloth amor can be enchanted more then Heavy armor... If so then how would a barbarion with fully enchanted cloth compare to a fully enchanted heavy armor???

If not well, It would still be cool to let cloth be more enchanted.
