Don't be such a [REDACTED] by insinuating he's illiterate. He's quite smart but not very patient sometimes. There's a way to handle that sort of situation without being rude about it. If the person had simply asked if he was new or if he knew that his name didn't fit the naming rules, they would have realized it wasn't him being a wise-ass. He just used a nick that he's use to. I agree - improper names or bad RP should get quick attention. I've done quite a bit of it myself. I'm just saying to handle it better in case, as with my son, it's someone who is simply new and could use some advice or mentoring. Had I known he was gonna make a char, I would have counseled him myself but apparently, he was gonna surprise me by finding and creating on the game on his own so we could play together.

There was talk of making you change the name once it was noticed, but you'd already been too far into the character for that to be fair.

If I was intending to say he was illiterate, I would have flat out said he was illiterate. My point was simply this: There are three very clearly worded questions asked when a new character name is generated, and "Ninjamonkey" complies with none of the requirements for a character name stated and implied in any of them. You can't even just rapid-fire the Y key to get through them either. You need to read them just to know whether to hit Y or N in order to get even to the next question. As I said, all three questions would need to be answered with a lie in order to get that name up in the game. Nowhere did I say or imply illiteracy.

I would likely have deleted him had you asked me to change and that leaves me feeling upset... I could have had my life back in March 2006 instead of spending all these hours playing make believe.

Your son was the one keeping the name Ninjamonkey on lockdown Tara?

At least it's available now, I've been trying to make a character named that forever.
