Shattered Kingdoms

I recently bought a pet that I've seen others rode before. But I cannot. I currently play a sprite, which should guarantee that I should be able to ride any mountable pets. Right?

WRONG!

You can only ride pets on, or near your size. If you are a sorceror, you can shrink or enlarge your pets to fit you.

So what is the variance in size to make a pet unmountable? Being that I am a sprite, I've been able to ride medium-sized mounts. So I guess large size and up is out?

My sprite character first started with a camel, and then went to a bumble bee.

Bingo!

But, there's only a few store bought pets that are large+.

I have to say, though, you probably shouldn't buy any LARGE black horses in the near future.

Which is what I have done... Oh well, I guess back to the reliable faerie dragon it is

I guess that restriction doesn't apply to player characters unless there's been a recent change, because I (playing a griffon) allowed a couple of sprites to mount me from time to time.
