Shattered Kingdoms

That is one hell of a transition from Amateur to Novice in Nerina.

A) the armor you bought to conquer the beastie doesn't protect well from the things in the cave.

B) Those things in the cave are very difficult to kill in comparison to the beasties.

C) Nerina is filled with wonderful items and trainers.... but you make very little coin in the caves, not nearly enough to buy anything.


And before blaming it all on my character (which shouldn't matter because newbie newbies start there too)

Am I going crazy or do I just have bad luck?

There's more than one cavernous area near Nerina. One may prove distinctly easier than the other.

You went to the wrong caves.

A couple of things to help. First of all type area zhenshi and they will tell you what level you should be before you go into that particular spot. It'll say stuff like Novice to journeyman thisarea.

Secondly, you will know where you because you are told what area you've entered when you discover it.

Third, Nerina is still the sickest place to level any char. I've walked out of there novice 4 in like an hour with certain weapons and race/class combos. Nerina rules.

Here I always thought the orcs were in that other one.

haha Or that every once in awhile Dimmel, or one of the others, would pop out of that cleft and ransack the town.

Ask for some help IC, majority of people will help get you set up and take you to the right area to train your character. The Mentor comman helps greatly too, just tell them you are lost and unsure of what to do and many of them will help you along with little question.

Good luck and don't get too discouraged, there are people who will help.

A high constitution score makes a big difference at low levels (i.e. creation).
