Keep in mind that even the books, tomes, and writings that one may find in the game are all accounts given by some in-character mortal. Even in SK the historical record is tainted by racial, religious, political motivations. There are a lot of things written in the game that are contradicted in other places (again, much like actual history). Don't make the mistake of assuming that just because something is "written down" in SK that it's "fact".

Thanks for pointing this out. But especially regarding Craeftilin, what I love in the area is that the different views that run around sides of the stories going on there help you create your own picture. Also, the history of Craeftilin itself can be of great aid to someone who wants to figure out more about the culture of gnomes. And if he/she does the quests and studies well all the elements that one comes across as he/she tries to complete them, he will have a GREAT picture of what gnomes in SK are (or should be) like.
