People underestimate how useful polymorph scrolls can be.
Even a weak polymorph scroll lasts more then long enough to go through pk.

Using a polymorph scroll nullifies the one benefit you get from being a deep-elf in the first place. That amazing benefit is a whopping 1 more int than humans.

make sure you dont poly into a race with a shorter lifespan than your characters age and as a D-elf theres a few that dont even reach your starting age as their max age.

When you poly, your age converts to a parallel age for that race. It doesn't stay static.

It doesn't convert to a "parallel" age, precisely, just an age within your character's age-tick range.

Basically, yes. Mirror image, stoneskin, 3rd row. If you're concerned about magical damage (the majority of which mirror image will prevent) then just enchant your gear. You have the spell, so you really have no excuse for not having spectacular saves.
