 Post subject: Uncomfortable Inn Rooms

When you sit in the main room of an Inn, you get the messege:

The comforts of the inn put you at ease.

And it recovers your energies faster.

Why doesn't this happen in the rooms? I would think it makes more sense for it to happen there...
Since it's common knowledge, I'm guessing it's a feature, and not a bug.

It's done only in the main rooms because making the main inn rooms grant regen encourages player centralization in those areas: If that were extended to the more private inn rooms, for example, then it would discourage RPing with other players, actually making it easier to make the game 'colder.'

While it makes less sense ICly, it's something that in my opinion is worthwhile given that it increases player interaction.

For the most part, it's actually worked. It took a while for people to gravitate to the inns (the change to recall helped a lot too), but I like the results of this.

It used to be that all rooms gave that nice little regen boost. Everybody would just go lock themselves in a room though and never really sit around and chat. I think people would also hide in them to do things like voodoo with the boosted regeneration. That was long before voodoo would let you see your attacker though.
