I'm looking to understand the differences in Mana vs. Wis. From what I've gathered, the following statements are true:

There is no difference between trained Wis & modified Wis.
Wis does not increase regeneration rates, but does increase mana pool and the ability to save against spells (not sure if its just willpower spells, or all spells).

Mana increases the mana pool and regeneration rates.
Modified mana does not increases regeneration rates and is therefore inferior to mana trains.
Mana does not affect ones ability to avoid save against spells.

I'm wondering if all this is true, if I've missed anything and also which increases the mana pool more, Wis or Mana trains (I'm assuming its Wis, right)?

Everything in your post is accurate and it seems like a complete description of wisdom and mana.

Wisdom only helps save against willpower based spells. Besides saving against aggressive spells, wisdom will help you break through intimidate and sanctuary. I don't know how much wisdom increases your mana pool exactly or how it compares to how much mana does.

Huh. You learn something every day. I always thought WIS also had to do with regen also.

Hrm, I guess it might. You'd probably be in a better position to say than I would.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that WIS helps with both max mana and mana regen.

Does WIS increase regen rates less or more than Mana trains?

Like all attributes, the last few to max increase bonuses greatly. I cannot honestly answer this question, though. My point is if you had a choice between maxing one, or being a jack of all trades, I'd suggest maxing one, and modding the other.

My guess would be mana trains do it more. But I doubt anyone will be able to answer that with authority unless they can see the code.
