First happy birthday smooch, hope it's not passed off in the Christmas bustle!

Second, I'm not sure that using the game is the environment which is best suited to recognize birthdays or out-of-character / game events.

I'd suggest that a new sub-forum be made to address real life news, and that be the place where people go to speak about IRL stuff.

I just don't see the other way being feasible as it would require:

1) A lot of Imm coordination
2) A lot of player patience
3) Create more work than (arguably) the benefit provides.

I'm not saying that recognizing the lives of players is bad, I'd just suggest it be done in an environment outside of the game.

The systen doesnt know about player birthdays, so there is no code concerning it. It would also be inappropriate to refer to your birthday while playing, because that is an OOC concept.

If you have suggestions around player birthdays, feel free to make them, although there are no guarantees they will be implemented.

How in the world would your birth day be an ooc concept?

How in the world would it not be?

"You ever get the feeling that you are just a puppet to some random being?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like, what I am doing now is like a command or something and it really wasn't my choice."

"Like you have no free will and just doing what some god is forcing you to do?"

"Not a god. Maybe someone who wants to be a god, but yeah."

"Can't say that has ever been a concern of mine."

"Maybe I just need to drink more."

"You don't drink, though."

"I have this odd feeling that I am going to pick it up soon. I get this sense of dread and need to drown my sorrows for some reason."

"You're the happiest person that I know. That doesn't make any bit of sense. Maybe this controlling being of yours has a birthday coming up and depressed about getting older."

"But it doesn't happen every year."

"Maybe it is like Yiggmas. Once ever fifty-two years it comes around."

"I can't imagine living so long that one's birthday is considered to happen once every fifty-two years. Maybe I will have that drink."

"I think you started three hours ago."
