So, I was told that Con determines how much PE you have and Dex how much PE you lose from skills.

Is this true?

Don't say that, unless you wanna hear "train PE" from someone.

Can you say, totally monumental waste of a stat train??? Unless it's gonna give me like 1000 more PE.

I mean, I could see a mercenary getting more use out of an art train than I could a PE train. >_>

Con determines how many moves you have, and dex determines how much you regenerate at the tick.

All PE based skills seem to be based around a hard unchanging, cold emotionless static number these days.

I've trained PE at low levels for great results with melee types.

PE is a "comfort-stat" to a much higher degree than say CHA if you train it at lowlevels. It might aid your leveling a bit, but in high-level pvp situations, losing to running out of PE is all but unheard of, where as CHA actually benefits most GM's in some way too, be that through certain tribunal/cabal skills or through class abilities.

Not that I particularly mind PE being the red-headed step child of stat-trains, but something radically needs to be done about the train if we want it to be trained on par with the others.

And !no! that was not an invitation to hit PE-using abilities with the nerf-hammer and up their PE drain to make the stat more viable, quite frankly if that happened I'd kill someone.

I have to agree with Achernar here. I was very hesistant to train PE since it basically meant I'd have to mod dexterity to do it. At low levels it is fantastic, though. I trained PE at level 5 and it cut the cost of my bashes by more than half. It really makes leveling a bit easier.

Plus, it's still pretty nice at Champion level to have bash cost 3% PE and five attacks with a kama take 0% or 1% PE. It gets really sick when I wear the two +greatly PE items I have - 2% bashes for the win.

That's kind of what I thought too. CoN determines how much PE you have and dex affects how much of it is used. Like if you walk with a 22 dex halfling you will loose less pe then with a 10 dex centaur.
