this might be OOC to ask.. if it is feel free to tell me to go away. I have came back from a long time away from SK and have started a mercenary. I was wondering if there were any known 1h that are decent to spec in? I know back in the day a ji was nice. How is it nowadays?

I believe specs of choice are...

Bandalore, Shuriken, Kama, Khopesh, Katana, Battle whip

In that order.

I don't see no-dachi anywhere in that list. It should be, though.

EDIT: Finding a one-handed no-dachi that is reliable and not kept by other characters may be difficult, though.

The recent weapon changes have made it somewhat feasible to choose some less-than-common weapons. Test it out a bit.

Battle whip is trash.

There is also Falchion, epee, straight dagger.


All decent 1h specs.

You could spec in curved dagger and call yourself Riddick!

What's funny is that Vin Diesel played DnD, and even loosely based Riddick off of a drow character that he used to play.

If you're playing a dwarf, a battleaxe is a damn good spec as well. You get a substantial accuracy boost.

Straight dagger is basically Katana with one less rank of accuracy.

But you can get pain sticks. :devil:
