I am so VERY confused. Question after question for me!
1. What is this "game thing" everybody is talking about?
2. What am I supposed to do here?
3. WHERE IS THE ROLEPLAYING?!
4. I'm so alone...

Make a dark aured character and join up with me, I'll show you how to level, PK, and how to avoid the general idiots you may run across that will try to drop you to their bottom feeding level.

PS, Avoid the mudsexx0rs, only pain comes from joining their ranks.

I'll attempt to help.

1) I have no clue what your talking about. Please be more clear. What "Game thing"

2) Have fun while still respecting people.

3) You often times have to create RP. Sometimes it comest to you and sometimes it does not. I often find that you also have to spend quite a while in the MUD before you get any good RP. So, train up and when you get a bit higher, you may find some fun RP. If you are absolutely looking for it now, try to find someone in your level and group with him and train and RP.

4) Send a tell to someone, or a prayer, and you may find yourself with someone to talk to. If you are really respectful and you may find you have a lot of people to talk to.

Again, I say, Okay, what? The game thing like, what prayer? Where do I go to talk to some one? What the heck is going on!?

Well, I'd advise a Mercenary/Barbarian/Hellion for a first character in your case. perferably Half-elf for the time being as they come equiped with infravision allowing you to see at night or in the dark. Best bet is to start in Zhenshi with your character as the leveling grounds there are top notch and just a few leagues from Teron. The city itself comes equiped with great shops and trainers. I still need to map the city myself and make a player guide out of it but it's a little difficult when you're outlawed there. *smirks*

If you go the way of the Dark Knight (Hellion, knight my [REDACTED]) I can offer you extended aid if you choose to follow Fear (Algorab). Only other choices are War (Sargas) and Order (Ain).

Alrighty, shoulda been a bit more clear.

You are going to want to read the help files. They can either be found on the MUD (another way of refering to the game, Shattered Kingdoms) or on this website. Read those, for those will give you most of the basics.

To connect to the game, all you have to do is open up telnet by going to Start>Run and type command. If your using a Mac, someone else is going to have to help you there. . I recommend you read the help files on the website before you try and play the game.
