Any character with an intrinsic flaw (memory loss, phobias, etc) are generally more interesting to me.

I remember characters for their flaws, not their strengths. Ierien and his holier-than-thou persona, Yaubl, with his half deep-elven heritage, etc.

Flaws are what make a character memorable.

Another basic concept is an orphan who became adult. Were you the bully of the orphanage or the one being bullied? Do you expect people to fall in line behind you or are you totally lost in the "real world"? I think this idea would be one that would allow you the most "growing room" as your char ages and learns, with the end-result as your char nears old age (we can always dream) that it has had a total personality change from where it started. It also allows you to "know nothing about anything in Pyrathia".

Yeah, then there's the 'You killed my father. Prepare to die.' You can substitute almost anything for father.

You killed my dog. Prepare to die.

Inigo Montoya is perhaps the most awesome character concept in the world.

The way I should have said it:

(to Jardek) [accent]
Hello. My name is The Mighty Fluffball. You killed my dog. Prepare to die.

Your traits best match Andre, I'm afraid. That's who you're stuck with.

Then by that logic, you're still the Princess. Unless you want the poison-guy?

Roberts is a boy. You can be the old lady. Maybe Jardek will let you be princess.
