...I remember Dulrik once saying, in the forums, that HP gives the most bang for the buck. Dunno how the code changes have altered that. I imagine that was in context of a warror class as opposed to a mage.

While everyone knows I don't give out the real numbers, I will say that these numbers do not represent the current state of the game.

In terms of practical usefulness, almost everyone can use +hp, and there's very little good gear for it. Further, the higher level you are, the better a given bit of hp serves you, since your defenses and armor are tougher. The only reason not to train hp is because something else is more valuable.

Extra mana is more situational in its value, and there's lots of good gear for it already. Mana trains are useful for some characters, but they certainly aren't for everyone. If you're a non-shaman newbie, I recommend trying out some +mana gear before using up trains.

(Why was that qualified to non-shamans? Voodoo specialists need tons of mana. Ask a shaman mentor if you're interested.)

Considering all the information you people have imparted, here's a hypothetical: If a griffon sorceror were to max his wisdom and intelligence with the initial status points recieved upon creation, would training every other stat recieved for the rest of said griffon's life into mana be worth it?

Edit: Or would it just affect how many castings of spells I can get for each 100% of my mana?

Not really. Doesn't art affect summoning?

Art affects a number of sorceror spells. I definitely recommend art over mana for a sorc.

Your edit is correct. It just affects how many castings you can get for your 100% ME. You've effectively increased the size of the dam you can draw water from, but you haven't purified that water to be any better than anybody elses.
