Within 30mins of starting in the newbie area one of the players there started to harass me with 'rp' of a sexual nature! And despite my ignorance they just followed me around for 20 mins!
So I tried a few others and to my horror I found that genrally quality rp was very rare indeed (especially compared to what i had experianced before).

I tried to RP on WoW as well, even using this need little prompt thing I found that is supposed to flag other good RPers. I could only seem to find one of three senarios, even with this cool new ability.
Most people in the game barely give you a sideways glance and almost don't say a thing when you start to RP. I found this very frustrating because most times I would really try to make a character that fit this world and this night elf druid looking for their next level next to me was simply.. a night elf druid looking for their next level.
The second typical course of events is how you described. People would do wierd things like travel in a group of three nearly naked dwarves and I would do my best to ignore them, but sometimes that is unavoidable when trying not to break the atmosphere. All it would take is one word and the next thing I know, my poor little gnome is being molested by two male dwarves using the sit/stand or back/forth buttons while a female dwarf dances in my face.
When I actually did find someone who actually wanted to RP, they completely broke the story lines of the game, claiming some new god or whatever was after our guild. They would even go so far as to create level one characters to chase down. Not at all a terrible effort, but something about it made me feel 12 again.
All I wanted was one server with people who RPed like these guys. I wanted to create a character with reasons for wanting to lvl and become the next great "whatever" in the realms and be around people who were the same and it just couldn't be found. SK Rp (even when people complain about the player base) will always be > WoW rp.
