I want to thank everyone for the quick feedback so far; I really appreciate it. Shaman actually sounds fitting for what I'd like to do RP wise but it all comes down to when I find time to play.

Just one big question as far as shaman go: As far as micromanagement goes I'm not a huge fan. So if I went the shaman route would I be totally useless in group situations as, at most, a support healer if a healer at all?

Very roughly speaking, shamans are tank/healer/mage hybrids. This makes them very useful in small groups lacking some key skill, and less useful in large ones.

A centaur shaman would normally lean more towards the healer/mage aspects. (Centaurs aren't nimble, and that hurts a tank.) Typical use in groups is single-target healing, group-wide spell damage with control weather/call lightning (when outdoors), or important single-target debuffs like sleep.
