Not a huge nerf when considering whether a viable barb build is possible.

Stealth nerfs are lame, though.

QQ is quite possibly the lamest thing I've ever seen. Save for people writing "First" or "Second" on blog comments. Oh poopoo, I think I just "QQ" myself again.

I was obviously making fun of everyone here that has been crying that its a huge nerf, when it obviously isnt.

It happened at the same time as the MR changes. The total number of trains allowed across all train categories is the same for every class. If barbs now get MR trains, they therefore have to come from somewhere. It's part of class balance and I didn't realize that it was a secret.

The only reason they got 25 trains previously was because there was no other category that made sense for barbarians. With the addition of MR trains that obviously was no longer true.

I was also pretty sure very few people were actually using 25 HP trains anyway since that would mean you've trained nothing else at all except at level 1. And if nobody noticed for five months that seems fairly conclusive. Regardless of whether you like MR barbarians or not, the possibility of having multiple builds is a net positive for the class.

So now mercenaries have more hp trains than barbs... I'd like to know if the barb's hp base big enough to make up for the 40 hps that mercenaries now have over them?

Edit: I know 40 points isn't a big deal but isn't the insane hp base suppose to be the staple of a barbarian?

I already knew that if I rolled another barbarian I would train at least 20 hp unless he was cabal'ed (And even then I would still train at least 20 HP unless it was one specific cabal.)

As it stands barbs just got a closet nerf, putting them much farther below mercenaries in the physical realm of things. MR was a pretty bad idea in the first place IMO, as it screws newbies who train it. Reducing the HP trains for them in addition is just insult to injury.

You'll never change this back, though, so it's worthless arguing: What's even worse is that you'll probably counter with the argument that barbarians still have more/equal HP compared to mercenaries even without the additional HP trains. Whatever, I'll just never play a barb again unless they're in one specific cabal.

The difference between barb and merc hp now is like 1-2 hits. Seriously, you act like they are completely trash.

With the addition of the barb Furying, they are still much more durable than a mercenary.

I find my edit very amusing given your post. But mercenaries have more survivability than barbarians do given the same HP pool (higher accuracy on their specced weapon leads to more parrying, and barbarians don't get enhanced parry either). So, given the same HP, I'll take a mercenary, who will survive longer and get retreat as well.

Barbarian will survive longer, You underestimate Fury.

It heals the barb, and makes them BEASTS.
