I'm no fan bois but FinneyOwnzU was the first to ever really bring that sort of looking at characters to SK(heavily based around stats/resists), according to other old-school players that I know. Must have been at least 8 years ago when he did, and I haven't seen any bad effects because of that per se. It's just a different way of playing the game. And that's your history lesson for the day, newb (this is in newbie forums, isn't it?
).
It'd be hard to justify knocking a simple way of making sure that your character doesn't suck and can back up what he/she says, Yegor. I don't know anyone who --wants-- to be a wimp, irl or otherwise.
I suggest you go back to playing in your local LARP or whatever it is you did earlier. In any regard, it's pretty pathetic that you get off on telling other people how to RP or play their characters. You're like that really annoying know-it-all kid we've all known at one point or another that just doesn't know when to shut his mouth. Give it a break.
For myself, I plan on building my character however the hell I feel like, and then RP'ing however I feel like as well. Loquacious giant barbarians (haha, anyone remember that Warrior Poet giant Hammer scout?), oh yeah. And you know what, Yegor? I don't give a flying * if you like it or not, or if you think it's a detriment to the mud. After all, how would you know how a person builds their character anyway?
Whiners like you make me want to puke my *ing guts out.
