Under 1/3, then if I was at ToM past 1/3, I shouldn't be getting anymore XP right? This is all so very confusing, because when I got the area familiarity, I was at close to half.

It sounds like this is an issue with familiarity, not xp. I could *imagine* that when you are grouped with someone you automatically follow them up through the corridors of familiarity, simply because otherwise someone could idle in the back row and the actual leveler would remain on constant "You have just discovered"...

Tadaaaa!

(someone bang the gong!)

Oh, that and I was raised and lost XP so I wasn't sure how much buffer XP was actually coming in. It doesn't matter all that much cuz I have enough XP anyway, but I just wanted to know for curiosity sakes. :)

That's a fascinating theory.

I didn't feel like reading through three pages of replies, apologies if someone has already answered.

There is a cap above GM, you can still gain exp up until you hit the cap, it's around 1 tick worth of exp. The cap is in place so you can still flee or get a breath of life, etc... without automatically losing the level the moment you do so.

Once you get about a tick of exp however the only way to gain exp after that is through enlights.

"fascinating theory"... does that mean it's not true? Still so confused. *runs off to post another newbie question*
