Okay, I'll be waiting for some logs of a merc getting owned by a barbarian.

So underestimated class. I never understood why most people don't appreciate the fact that a barb is almost immune to all the opening attacks and "I win" spells. That even ghosts can't surprise them. Alertness saves the barb's life many many many times. That a barb needs a much simpler suit to go into battle due to fury saves, than a merc. That he can track and finish anyone who thought he got away. That he can go back naked after his resurrection and have a good (better than merc) chance to take his revenge and stuff back (trust me it works). And the most important, that he will take advantage of your weakness, unless you are a human or a dwarf.

Mercs and barbs are different. But saying that barbs suck is at least noobish. Pks are not duels. A prepared barbarian will kill a merc as easily as the prepared merc will kill the barb. But try for a moment to compare a merc vs all the other classes and the barb vs all the classes. If you still can't see it then roll a merc and spam bash.

tip: You can be furied in more than 95% of the battles.

Barb with fury > merk with spec, why do you think I choose barbs? Not to mention with the new fly thing, tracking >_<

That giant was a barb. Of course that's just one case, so maybe Orland did just get really lucky.

What I can say is this much.

If fury is made to give better +'s than specialize, then that was no doubt with the mindset that 2/3 fights the barb will not be able to fury due to bash.

Now that a barb will be in fury 9.5/10 fights, maybe it's time to revise fury and lower it to the equivalent, or even lower tahn the spec bonuses, since spec is specific and frenzy generic.

Or, you can take it as it is, as a BUFF to barbs whom WERE lacking against MERKS, and shove it?:o
