I recently started a bard and noticed most bard trainers sell Instruments. I bought one and was kinda sad that my newbie bard just wasted all that money for something that doesn't work. I'm sure they can be nice when emoting to others... but are they ever going to be useful to a bard? (helping a bard sing a song... or temporarily increasing a songs power... Example: Serif starts druming on his drum while singing, you feel more [insert songs magical power here])

Just a random question for y'all.

They are strictly for RP, no use power-wise.

Save for some enchantments they may have...

There is also a NPC that uses his instrument as a weapon. Maybe instruments should have some other functions as well. For example, harps and lutes raisin the power of powerchords, violins raising the power of songs of sleep, harps of songs of silence, drums of songs of war etc.

I found a music stand once that was classified as a shield. Otherwise your jsut looking for a rptool/enchantment item.

Funny that a music stand would be a shield considering bards don't get shield block.

Instrument usage was the one specification for bards that was not completed when the class was released. Someday...

Grabbing the chance again, could we at least have the dance/follow matter fixed?
