I'm putting this under n00bs because I know this is a n00b question :)

I know things we wear on our wrists, necks, and fingers don't count against our armor, but what about shields? Since we are "wearing" them and not wielding them, do they lower our skills/spells if we use an armor class higher than we are suposed to?

I know, I'm still a n00b :D
Thanks.

No.

Unless I'm a worse noob, in which case I don't know. But I have used adamatite shields (heavy armor on a light armor class) and I end up blocking better since most heavier shields are better than lighter ones.

Anything held in hands worn on fingers wrists neck symbol and belt you can wear anything on. And for centaurs they can wear any type of horseshoes.

That is correct. Further, you can test if something is lowering your abilities if you find spells and some skills that should be mastered at superb.

For instance, innate skills/spells and your default language.
