Post subject:  A Couple of Command Questions

I have been unable to figure out the correct commands to read the books in the library. Need to be able to do this to learn more about the country's past so I can rough out my own personal history for the game.

Also, I understand fully why it's a good idea to store valuables in a container to keep them safe from rogue thieves. However, I haven't been able to find a command to allow me to get a contents list of the container. I figure that there should be one since noone's memory is infallible, and you don't want to lose things just because you've forgotten where you put them.

Anyone who can fill me in on these matters, please do so.

To look in a container, type "Look in <container>"

To look at books, try the following:

Look tome
Look book
Look contents
Look introduction
Look page01
Look page1
Look page_01
Look page_1

One of the above will start you on your way to bookish goodness.

Regarding libraries. Depending on how it is described in the room desc, you shall see a bookshelf or a shelf or something like that. Type exam bookshelf or look in bookshelf (abbreviations work as well IE: l in books). Get a book from there by typing IE: get book bookshelf

same goes for containers. IE: exam knapsack or look in knapsack

You should make sure that only one book at a time is in your inventory or on the ground in the room you're in, by the way. It helps solve possible confusion.

This seems like a good time for me to mention that in the next update we will be adding actual 'book' objects. Converting existing books will not happen instantly, but when an object is said to be a book, you will now have to use the 'read' command. Read will no longer be a synonym for the 'look' command. Among other advantages, a book can be opened or closed, will use language based writing and will keep track of what page you are on. You can read a book page by page, just by repeating the command 'read <bookname>' or seek a certain page using 'read <bookname> <pagenum>'. Also a table of contents is automatically created for each book based on the page headers.

Just to repeat.. it's not in yet, but it's coming soon.
