how do you target without a name? C Summon 'thin male halfling' or C summon 'thin halfling' or c summon halfling and hope its him...?

You can't summon PCs with their adjective or something. You have to use their name.

For NPCs now, the race or the adjective might work. Any keyword of their short desc actually. Just don't expect "c summ halfling" to work if 1.halfling as SK sees it is unsummonable NPC. Keep practicing with 2.halfling, 3.halfling, 234132131.halfling.

I've been summoned by my adjective. Umiro was trying to get someone else with the one I have and was rather surprised when I showed up rather than the person that he was trying to get. I believe his words were at the time, "Wrong one."

You can definitely summon PCs by their adjective.
