Are there skills lists for each class somewhere?

No. If you really want this information, you can always create a new character of whatever class interests you. "Skills" and "spells" will show the class abilities. Then you can "delete" him.

If you're just looking for a compatible class to play, though, you might be better off asking for advice here. It's hard to guess the relative merits of classes from skill and spell lists.

I wouldn't mind a faq portion on the forums here that displays the skills and spells of each class. It's not needed I guess but it would be interesting for noobies. I know I would have liked to see that when I was new.

Personally, I prefer newbies to 'discover' the available skillsets as time progresses. Not only their own, but also their opponents' skills and spells. Adds to the mystique and IC roleplay of learning all the details of the game.

Still, it'd only make me feel bad if I realized a class offers much more similar things to the ones I'd hoped of having, thus ruining my chance because I've already leveled my character and used his concept, making it impossible to repeat it in his "proper" class.

With all due respect, I disagree. I came into SK with one character and have kept to it. I read the help files on line, decided what I wanted to play and plugged right in.

Now, I have found tremendous RP and I would not change my character concept one bit. However, I would certainly have appreciated knowing a bit more of what skills/spells were avaiable to different classes so I could shape the character better.

More importantly, I would have appreciated knowing how different classes affect my class. I am not a good PKer, and I probably will never be a good one, but surely it would be IC to know how the 'greats' thrived in the SK universe - in terms of class/cabal/tribunal skills.

Isn't that what bards in part do? Retell epic sagas of how the great ones are able to serve their beliefs or gods?

Good bards would. Most of the days bards are used for songs of sleep to make combatants drowsy and thus easier to beat. That and using the lore skill to find keywords to activate items.

Gasbah was a real bard, the bards now adays...nah...

I wasn't think of specific bards, but more along the lines of folk legends that get passed from town to town, tavern to tavern.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Gasbah, but I am very confident in saying Rowena is a wonderful bard to RP with. I encourage you to seek her out and then revisit your opinion.

I agree with squirrel, being around Rowena is an inspiration and often a laugh as well, you should try it sometime.
