The rules about permenant adjectives are pretty cemented (and I could babble about why it confuses me that some people don't even proof-read them before entering the command, but thats not why I'm writing) but what about disguises? Personally, I enjoy setting my disguise to 'masked' before slicing into some heavy-pocketed Zhensh priest. (I even got a black rubber mask from Teron for that purpose.) But that's obviously not a good permenant adjective. One will not nessisarily be happy, sad, smiling, standing up, wearing a mask or wearing pants constantly in their life. Yet it completely works for a temporary adjective, in my twisted mind. What rules do apply to disguise adjectives, as oppose to permenant adjectives? (You don't even need to say 'nothing dumb or dirty')

Basically, if you think you can disguise yourself to look a certain way, you can use a relevant term in your disguise adjective.

Masked seems perfectly alright to me.

I still think that eye-color shouldn't be allowed.

Yeah, because you totally can't see what color someone's eyes are just by looking at them.

(?)

Some people, when i look at them the think that stands out in my mind the most is their eye color, if its especially vibrant even more so. Others it may be their hooked nose. Eye color works fine in my book.

I say it should only be allowed if the person writes into their desc that they don't have eyelids or if they never sleep and always resist the sleep spell. If caught sleeping they get cursed.

I think that's fair.

By the same token, many common adjectives are rendered useless.

What good is a pale character if they're sunburned? Then they'd be bright red.

What about a black-haired character? Heaven forbid their hair should turn grey, or someone should dump powdered sugar on their head.

An ugly character might get a makeover, a slender person might eat too much one day, a fat person might go on a diet. If you want to get facetious you can dispute almost any adjective possible. But we don't, because except for Ilae and Gilgon, we're mature adults. If you play a game, you suspend your disbelief. Get with the suspension already.

To continue on the de-railed thread...

I agree with p-wn!. Theres a lot worse in the game then the color of someone's eyelids. Honestly, thats splitting hairs if you ask me.

sleeper
