If I make an elf paladin, deep-elf necro, hellion or that kind of combinations, it will be a bad idea right? does oposite aura spells will make even more damage for the race/class combination? |

I wouldn't say they're bad ideas perse, but yes - opposite aura spells will DESTROY you. Unless you lave loads and loads of mp. |

It's not a bad idea.... you just have to be more careful in combat. There are advantages to having those classes as races: mainly, more intelligence. It makes it much easier to hold multiple spells up at once. All of elves have the same racial weakness, no matter their class. The "weakness" that you talk about with delf necros, priests, and hellions that differs from the racial weakness is just that of Bolt of Glory. There is a nimbus effect that can hold you in the room. Just prepare, and you'll be okay. |

As already mentioned, there are certain weaknesses that will be experienced by said combinations. There are also benefits to the combinations. I won't go into specifics, but playing one of those just requires a bit more care. They have been done extremely well before by good players. Nothing has changed that would prevent that now. sleeper |

given the nature of their spells, you'd fare a lot better with an elf paladin than a delf hellion. |

An Achilles heel does not always make for a weak character. An Elf paladin and Deep elf necromancers have some large weakness but they can be over come, because the race is still well weighted towards the class. I would say there are larges weakness from race combinations that are harder to over come. A giant warlock for example can not summon an elemental unless they are a part of one cabal or age twice. Low intelligence and wisdom make poor spell casters for the most part. Low strength and dexterity races make for poor warriors. Having said all that at the moment I am having a lot of fun with dwarf (low int race) priest. This is mostly due to the RP concept behind the character than the characters ability in battle. In fact his Achilles heel makes him more enjoyable to play even if it does get to me some times. |

Oh ya, and unless you want it just for RP value, dont make a Dwarven shaman.. I maxed my mana at level 20 and couldnt hold sanctuary and identify somthing at the same time. |

You would probably want to max int to pull something like that, not mana. But yeah, dwarfs are a bit lacking in the upstairs. |
