Post subject: | Wot no Symbol! |
Just a quick question from a 'green behind the ears' newbie... since being inducted into a faith and being handed a 'symbol' to wear I have died once or twice, OK three times. Upon using the spell 'call armor' pretty much everything gets returned with the exception of the symbol. Is there a reason for this? .... actually on a similar vein, i did recall armor once and lost 1/2 my equipment because of the the dissorientation affect of death (you cannot carry this much weight). Where does the equipment not returned go? It wasn't on my corpse and I couldn't get it by using 'call armor' a second time. thanks Worts |

Only the gear that properly fits you will come to you from your corpse using that spell. |

My guess would be that you are too low level yet for the level of your symbol to be returned. If someone else has a better idea... wortsenawl wrote: .... actually on a similar vein, i did recall armor once and lost 1/2 my equipment because of the the dissorientation affect of death (you cannot carry this much weight). That's a good question... In any case, you should have had some extra strength by magical means and drop whatever temporary you might have been wearing when you "called armor". That should save you from such trouble anyway |

so how do you know what is within your level range? |

Use the identify spell - if an item is worth 470, for example, it will be level 47. There are the occasional exceptions to this rule, like skins. You can also use the quality of an item as an indicator to within five levels. |

The amount of silver measured in incriments of 10 shows the base value of an item prior to being enchanted by a Player Character. Once it has been enchanted, or tailored in the case of a skin, it has been changed by a Player Character and is no longer worth the same it was when the item was created. |

Fepel is almost correct in numbers. You can say that junioroverlord is correct as well. Identify and locate object are your friends. |

I always thought the quality rating was a better way to tell than the monetary value. |

Proven time and time again, anyone who says, the monetary value of an item shows it's level is bogus. This is more the exception, than the rule. Quality will show you within a level range: Near Godlike = GM Outstanding = Champ Superior = Master Et cetera If you honestly want to know if you won't get something stolen from you. If you can locate it, you can keep it. That is the only bonifide way to tell. |

Fepel is correct. Requesting at lowest level of influential charisma (16) is another way of checking if you can keep the item. |
