I'm fairly new to the game, and just have a quick question. When I created, I joined the Empire of the Bright Star .. I am a rogue, and do not know where to train for my skills. I would ask around ICly, but I've yet to find someone to speak to Help would be greatly appreciated! Also, are there any other maps other than the ones on the website? |

The mentor command is your friend. I've never had a rogue before, so what I tell you won't be really helpful - but try shopkeepers. Some shopkeepers of shops people normally go to will often teach obscure stuff. There ARE in game maps, sold by NPCs, and other NPCs who will take you places. |

In addition to mentors (see help mentor if need be), don't be afraid to use tells. They're considered in-character mental telepathy, and are a great way to contact people. Looking over the titles in the "who" list should give you an idea who might be able/willing to help. Also, for your own explorations, many trainers have been set up in places that are logical for the class. Where in Menegroth/Empire might rogues be likely to congregate? Those would be good places to look. |

Look for anyone that has anything Imperialish in their title and fire off a tell to them. Imperial Elite, Of the East, Legion XXIV Stuff like that. |

Looking for someone with grey-and-white title colors could help. While not entirely accurate, it can be suggestive of an imperial background. Or just find someone important sounding and ask them. They might blow you off because you're from the wrong kingdom but they could snidely suggest you ask so-and-so or they could send a snide tell to someone who could help you. |

Teron = the place for n00b rogues. I'm serious. If you need an rp excuse, say you're on leave. You can be secretly spying. |

Yea, I agree with Peso. Jump a portal to Uxmal (find out how Icly!) and head into teron. There you're going to find Rogue trainers to your hearts content. And ask a few people! The moment anyone figures out you're completely lost and don't know where to go, they're extremely helpful, no matter what the aura, alignment or such (minus necromancer). |

Oh, I try to be helpful to newbies. Even IF I do it by telling them to go screw themselves right next to the rogue trainer in the teron arena kitchen, or next to one of the thieves in the five daggers, or the guy in the pastry shop. By the way, my name's fluffball. |

Maybe joining a religion would help... People tend to be somewhat more helpfull to people in thiere own church and it could also be a starting point to fan out some other RP... I would say go with achernar, (death, time. change) Sadal, ( Luck, Fate, storms) They are not really assiciated with Groups of people who run arond PKing each other and achernar in paticular always seems to be rather big...so you will be able to have more people willing to aid you.... dont limit yourself to those however, they are only safe options.. not really the best ones depending on your taste and style of RP... Type help god to see the list of gods and pick the one you like... Should not be to hard to find people in a certian religion. unless its dead... |
