Are you using Telnet?

Post subject:  yes

yes i am using telnet...is that a bad thing?

Telnet sort of sucks. You can type stuff in, you just can't see what you have typed it. So if you type in Sorin, and you're 100% sure that's what you typed in, hit enter, and it should go to Sorin? Are you Sure? (Yes or No). or whatever the message is.

There used to be a box you could check in the menu where you can set your buffer size that said 'Local Echo' I used to telnet, and that shows you what you type.

My advice is down load a client something like G mud is free. Do a search online. To my mind Z mud is the best but it costs so might not want it. Having a nice program to run Mud on improves the gaming experience a lot takes away a lot of problems of scrolling and such. Not to mention command histories (remembers the last few commands to skill back to). If you enjoy the game and find yourself spending hours playing it is worth the time downloading a good program to run it with.

Zmud is a great one, but yes it costs money. I think you pay $20 for a license and you get to have it on three computers. What me and my friend did, was split the cost (we were like 14 and it was a lot of money), and so each of us could use it. You never have to pay again though as long as you have the key.

Or you can get the old, unsupported, free version of Zmud.

ROAClient and SimpleMU are also good for SK, and free.
