Post subject:  Areas and magical spell experience

I have a question. Is the experience gained by casting spells such as enchant armor/weapon or any other spell affected by your level of familirity with an area?

Do you get more exp casting in an area you just discovered over say an area you know like the back of your hand?

Damn that is a good question.
I also wonder if it is the same across those spells or if it is different for Brew...

Combat spells are affected by area familiarity. Non-combat spells aren't.

Are healing spells considered 'combat spells' when one is engaged in combat then? Just curious.

I do not believe so. Anything that deals damage to a PC is a combat spell.

Only if you're casting them on undead.

I doubt it toggles back and forth though . . .

- successfully damaging a monster with a spell
- successfully casting non-combat spells
My guess would be Xp for a non combat spell and then Xp for damaging with a spell. Cure sucks your ME for damage dealt compared to most other spells so doesnt make it that amazing you get a fraction more XP from using it than you might expect.
