I have a question about Petrification and experience. Do you get exp for the value of the NPC you killed or for the simple casting of the spell? Say I petrify a level 50 NPC, will that be the same exp as say a level 20 NPC?

I'm just wondering if petrification works like enchanting or gating when it comes to exp or not. I know that you don't get different exp for gating different places, or enchanting different types of weapons or armor.

Petrification doesn't kill as SK xp system means it. So you only get xp for casting it.

But don't mind, you have magic missile to plvl with.

Does not petrification do an amount of damage to the target as seen by those who are turned to stone then restored to life being wounded. Would not this make it count as a combat spell and reward on HP done.
Given SK Xp is based on on wounding more so than killing.

Think of petrification as not damaging an opponent, but more like a status effect. Sleep, poison, curse, plague, et cetera... and petrification as well.
