I have a question. When a fighter with rescue in F1 has a person behind him in M1 and they are attacked by a fytrysk is the person standing directly in front of the other person, the fighter in F1, able to rescue the person in M1 when the NPC has reach? A NPC like a white fystrysk? I say the answer is yes, and yet the person whom I try to explain that to rejects my claim. Some sage advice? Can you make the rescue? Edit: Fixed some outrageous grammatical errors. I'm very tired, hence the gibberish post. Also for Cyra the question is if a merc with someone behind him goes into a room with an aggro NPC that has reach and that aggro NPC attacks the second row person, can the merc rescue and take the hits? I say yes, and oddly enough no one believes me. |

You can make the save, but I *believe* it doesn't stop them from re-targeting the second row. If they re-target, you have to rescue again. Could be wrong, though. |

The answer is yes. There are some rare moments the NPC might re-target(I don't know exactly when this happens), but generally it stays locked on the F1 PC. My shaman and a merc use to go through areas with lots of aggro NPCs with reach, all I do is lure, they hit me for a round, then I get rescued and heal the sanced warrior. |

Your question needs a bit more clarity but from what I gather is that you are saying that if someone is behind you will the NPC focus on you if you rescue someone behind you who is getting hit. The answer is yes, you'll start taking the *brunt* of the attacks when you rescue that character or NPC, and they will be safely out of harm's way. |

Rescue pulls any aggro that was once on another char unto yourself. The mood (aggressive of defensive) you are in will affect only group combat. It will determine the positioning of your group if you rescue someone within your group. I think the code was changed to not allow a certain bug that allowed you to pull people into a group with you and not allow them to attack you...while you could attack them. |

That's what rescue is all about, Orac, you'll start taking the hits when you input the command and rescue successfully. |
