No elemental is worthless, they are just better in some uses than others. Experiment, you'll probably find some jobs that only an air elemental can do well, and of course, others where nothing does it right except a fire, or earth elemental...

For a while I had a air elemental and changed it into frost for strictly RP reasons when I had my polar elementalist... So for the VERY least you got RP reasons if not stratigic.

Also keep in mind that different types of elementals do different damage types and have different immunities :wink:
