Hello, I was just wondering if anyone could offer anything more helpful than the helpfile on what gnomes look like? All the helpfile says is that they're smaller than dwarves.

Any help is appreciated.

Dwarves and gnomes often get contrasted with each other, because they are more similar than different. A gnome is a humanoid who is around 3 feet tall and whose head is perhaps a bit proportionately larger than a human. A dwarf would average 4 1/2 feet tall and would be stouter than a gnome. Dwarves value facial hair more than gnomes, but nothing prevents a gnome from having a beard. Both races can have any skin tone that a human could have, but they tend toward pale, as both races traditionally live underground. Gnomes are stereotyped as being wiser and more quick-witted than a dwarf and tend to solve their problems with magic instead of physical force.

I always sort of thought of gnomes as the little guys in the flying machine from warcraft.

Lawn gnomes? That's looks like your average gnome to me. I also remember a cartoon when I was a kid of these gnomes that lived in the forest and befriended the animals. They had really ingenious inventions, but kept to themselves. Some were bearded, some weren't. I loved that cartoon.

I usually see my gnomes as causasian. Rosy cheeked, round-nosed, a little pudgy and with white hair.

Evil gnomes.. I see as being ghostly pale, beyond causasian to the point of albino. Not as friendly looking, but still plump in the middle.

:P
