Does stance affect counterstrike? =\ Sorry if this is a reiteration of another question posted elsewhere. |

Since it's effectively a defensive skill, being defensive would logically increase the chance of success, but also lower the damage you reflect, and vice-versa for aggressive, and no-one with a brain uses neutral. |

Your aware that stance defensive has penalties to casting time, and that stance aggressive is pointless for spell casters right? |

Yeah, OA you are right. It does help them, for all of those times they are in front line combat doing all of that damage. [/end sarcasm] I agree with allikat. |

It's a good thing you don't know what you're talking about. |

I can't think of a single reason for a designated caster to use mood agressive. |

There are bonuses and penalties to both aggressive and defensive. There are definitely times when using neutral is the smart choice. |

Wait so the verdict is that stance defensive would up the chances of counterstriking, but decrease damage? As far as getting better at the skill, does it matter if you are more successful in performing said skill? Okay, that sounds weird but I'm not sure how to word it. Can anybody understand the non-english that I'm writing? =\ |

No, as far as improving goes it doesn't matter how much damage counterstrike does when it succeeds. Simply failing or succeeding will help you skill up. As far as mood defensive actually helping counterstrike fire more often, I'm unsure. Being on mood aggressive would help the skill land more when it actually fires, but not actually increase the chance of it firing. |
