Am I doing something terribly wrong/being blind, or is this just not a valid race/class combo? I'm new here, and I had a concept for a character I'd like to play, but was thwarted in my attempts to create it ![]() |

No halfling sorcs, for some reason. No dorf sorcs, either (not that you would want to). |

Unfortunately you are correct. While I'm hear if anyone reads this who knows the answer: Why are some classes limited to some races? I can understand no delf paladins and/or elf hellions but what about the others? |

I think a list of valid class/race combinations should be available. Even if the Class lists are added to the Race helpfiles and vice versa. |

It always eluded me why you could not be a sprite priest or a halfling sorc. A satisfying explanation as to why, would be really nice. |

To my understanding.. Sprites cannot be priests as that would open them up to being a heavy armor wearing class, and the fact that sprites are far to carefree to devote their lives to the worship of a god. Fair enough I would think, if not always agreeable. And my understanding for why halflings couldn't be sorcs was something along the lines of them being too selfish to devote their lives to studying magic. While Necromancy is more of an innate class for the halflings with twisted minds. Although it says in the helpfile they are obsessive, and zealous at best.. That could be viewed in certain ways to favor halfling sorcs, I'm pretty sure D doesn't want to change it anytime soon. |

There's a lot of race/class combos that make sense, that should exist, but will not be implemented. Additionally, if you try to argue in favor of them to D, using calm, logical statements, you just get the silent treatment and outright ignored. |

Bah, new race/class combos are not exactly magma spray. Anyway, I don't think we need more combos right now. If halflings were to get one more class available to them that would be shaman(considering there are halflings that live in tribes in SK) and halfling shamans would be totally hot. |

Bacon cheeseburgers with excessive ketchup and mustard are not new race/class combinations either. And, yeah, that has about as much do with this thread as your comparison to magma spray. Take that nonsense to Gameplay or General Discussion. I'd rather see the return of giant hellions than the addition of any new race/class combinations. |
