What is the difference between divine and deadly wrath, does one do more damage to a certain aura?

I think that divine is a lighty based and deadly wrath is more darkie based, but I could be way off.

Hehe yea, you are way off, technically speaking anyways.
Logic doesn't seem to apply here, unfortunately.

Neither of those types are aligned. They are just different damage types. Divine power is holy damage and deadly wrath is energy damage.

Holy and negative energy sounds like I wasn't too far off.

Not negative energy, just energy. Holy just means it pertains to divinity. That doesn't mean it's necessarily a benevolent divinity.

This is a helpful thread. I never even thought about this question until now. I suspect I would have guess right though, if the topic would have come up. Thanks to Dulrik I don't have to guess.

Nah you had the exact wrong answer, actually!

unholy wrath/flaring light = aligned magic damage. I answered this question over YM already but just to clarify - these types of weapons are very rare.
