I was wondering.. I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but i couldn't find it. When you die and come back to life, through whatever way you found to come back. Are you ICLY in a new body? or is it just like a copy of your old body. I've heard people rping that they're 'fresh' in a new body. But when looking at them, they still have scars from 'child hood' and some people who just act as if they are just the same as before. So how does this work with everyone else.. so i know the correct way to address it in game.

As per HELP DEATH, these are the options -
1. Pity of the Gods
2. Resurrection Spell
3. Raise Dead Spell
4. Breath of Life Spell
5. Oracle of the Gods
6. Reincarnation

Pity / Resurrection / Oracle / Reincarnation - Physically you get a new body - since your corpse is usually still on the ground somewhere.

Raise Dead / Breath of Life - Your body is revived.

As to why people's descriptions remain the same:

IC reason - The method of returning to life uses some kind of reference for their old self, which includes not only scars but aging etc too.

OOC reason - Nobody wants to redo their description every time they die and return to life. :)

I figure all those scars and flaws are just so innately in the person's sense of self that, when the gods send that person back to life, they are an inseperable part of the identity, and thus the new body. Scars are like an adventurer's scrapbook - each should have a memory, tell a story. :P And if the signs of aging disappeared with each new body, why have age death? (Oh yeah - and laziness comes into play too.)

Alright, thanks for the help on that. It would make fun for writing a new desc everytime I die, so I think I might just start doing that, but I die often so it should keep things interesting.

I could see having a base description which you return to upon death and then adding lines for various events between deaths. That might be fun. Re-writing every time you die, ouch.
