Post subject:  OMG! I'm a newb again.
Sooooo - I had a character many years ago and was thinking about starting up again but before I made up my mind I was wondering about a few changes and what the realm status was like.

Thinking about playing a Sorc again but maybe a priest instead haven't made up my mind yet. What's the balance as far as active darky/lighty look these days? And what religions are looking active? Also - what starting areas are quick and newbie friendly the most these days, I heard that Exile's has changed a couple of times as well as Ayamao's.

I guess that's all I've got. Thanks for your prompt responses and any additional help anyone has to shoot at me. :D

I remember trying to go Mira back in the day but it was pretty dead so I ended up just not having a religion.

All of the newbie areas have their upsides right now. All are decent for experience. The newest is in Ayamao. Northern and Taslamar are both less than a year old. Zhenshi is always a good place. Probably my favorite.

The lightie/darkie/greybie mix, I think, is pretty even right now. My guess is that we'll see a lightie swing for the next month or two, before going back darkie, but I could be wrong. :P

PS Mira is active enough that you shouldn't have any problems getting into it either. :P

Let me also jump on the Mira train here - we rule!!

I think bards are still the least-played class, though sorcs are always fun to start or re-start with.

It's pretty lightie right now, but there's lots of Imperials. So maybe go grey or dark, but not in the Empire.
