Does Magical vestment have any affect considering a Griffon has fur? Or is it a complete waste of time.

I don't know how many of the 7 + 1 eq slots are affected by magical vestment but it's more than zero. Likely, magical vestment is of lower use for a griffon but it is still of use.

I am wondering if the toughness would be affected by the spell, considering griffons have fur.

I imagine it would affect them up until their toughness bypasses what MV would give them.

Toughness is not in addition to armor. In combat, toughness only takes effect if your armor sucks(Fur < Toughness AC)

MV doesnt affect natural skin, fur, or hide I am pretty sure. I think I asked the same thing of centaurs about their legs back in the day.

It does affect natural skin, it's a bit sketchy whether it stacks with toughness, though.

It doesn't. Toughness is like, having new armor, which only comes into affect is if it is the highest AC rating.

Yeah, but there's both AC annnnd what is the other thing, protective power? I'd guess fur/MV is protective power while toughness is AC.

I am in no way an authority on this, it's just what I seem to have synthesized over the years.
