I was training and I noticed that my dex had gone up a level without being trained. Does that happen often? |

There are ways to increase your dexterity without your character personally getting faster. Some equipment is enchanted, and can boost your stats. The haste spell can also improve your dexterity. |

When you advance, don't your stats go up a little bit? After a level review, (unless I'm crazy) my character can hold a little bit more weight, and I'm assuming this applies to all stats, not just Strength (thus the weight limit increase) P.S. Please note the newbie tag under my username when telling me if I'm correct or crazy. |

Actually, that's just the weight, not your mind playing tricks on you. Every level your character, regardless of STR, can carry 1.5 pounds more of equipment, making for 75 free pounds at GM. Stats don't actually go up until you train them, but they are definitely not the only things that change as you level. Carrying capacity, HP, ME, PE, saving throws, Strength of spells, to-hit modifiers, usefulness of skills, etc. these all change with level separate from stats. |

I'm betting that you (Bloodcane, or whoever else's stats have inexplicably been raised) got your hands on some newbie equipment with stat modifiers on it. A lot of equipment specifically for low level characters, if not most, have them. |

And, if you did not make any equipment change, it could be you achieved the level which allowed you to fully or partly use an item you were already wearing. That, or SD went off. |

I think Konge might have taken a trip back to our old mud there. |
