I have a few questions about these skills:

1) I seem to miss a lot of ambushes, meaning my first arrow hits but doesn't do extra damage. Is this because the skill is not mastered ? I thought better at ambush meant extra damage not better chance to ambush someone. If that's the case does mastered ambush give you 100% chance to ambush?

2)In case it's the camo failing is it possible to have mastered camo and still fail it ?

3) Does loading your bow with an arrow break your camo ? If that's the case should I reload first and then camo ?

And 4) I failed to get a skill increase by spamming camouflage, should i get visible first or am I just unlucky ? Can you be camouflaged and break it by trying to camo again ? There isn't any message to tell me if the skill succeded (like sneak)

Thanks in advance

1) I'd expect this is a combination of your skill at ambush and your weapon skill and target.
2) All passive skills have a chance at failure (this is somewhat disputed) but hide, sneak and camo all have a fail chance.
3) Loading your bow should not break your camo; reloading your bow, however, means you fired which would break your camo. I dont remember if you fire and miss if between shots it breaks your camo.
4) You don't need to be vis before trying again

(note: all answers based on Sattarh, who was about 5 years IRL ago - I dont think anything has changed since then.)

Please know, some of the information you are asking here is considered in-character information, and should be discovered in game. Also, know that scouts have not been a forte of mine, so I may not answer these questions exactly correct.

The exact increase to how extra much damage (if any) that occurs as a character masters ambush is information that is not usually given out. Please see the next response for more information pertaining your other question.

Yes. "Mastered" in Shattered Kingdoms does not mean you will ever be perfect at the skill or spell. Instead, "mastered" is used in place of "perfect" to imply that you have attained the highest level of perfection possible - not that you will be perfect.

Please feel free to ask this question in game.

Again, please feel free to ask this question in game.

I have a few yes, I didn't know it matters. It wont let you camo with glowing but it will with humming.

Thanks for your replies btw

Meissa, knowing if your ambush is hurting people more as you improve at the skill definitely sounds like something any character who has learned to ambush would know.

Ask someone (or your pet) if they can see you. Then you'll know if you are camouflaged or not.

The same argument could be made for a lot of different things. However, since this is a mechanics question, it's best left untouched unless the powers-that-be choose to reveal this information.

Spells don't fail at mastered, Meissa.
