I know its an age old question, but help a poor soul: Mana vs Art. What's better for Healers? What's better for Casters? I know there were new changes to Mana and stuff, I just don't remember. |

The way I've always tried to build characters to fit those categories, Healers - Mostly Mana with a little Art. Casters - Reasonable Art and Mana. My current Ighae, has Max Art and Mana. And I'm glad I did both, Mana trains are definitely noticeable in regen holding two controls standing I won't lose any mana per tick. While art is also incredibly helpful because even against opponents with reasonable enchants most spells will still get through. It all depends really on what the character is going to be used for, and what position they are going to play PvP. |

This. I've heard people argue against it and I wouldn't have it any other way. |

I can answer from the stand point of a priest: I've had a priest with max art. I wondered how much of a difference it made for my spells, so my next priest was NO art. My main problem with the no art priest was the gate and summon spells. Spend at least some art otherwise you'll be wasting a lot of time recasting those spells. My most recent priest is max art/max mana in complete neglect of everything else. I've enjoyed it, even if she is very dependent on mods. |

The best build for me seems to be 6 art, no mana. Scrolls are key, so you want to have the 6 art, but beyond that it's (largely) wasted. You don't need regen that much in PK situations as a priest, and beyond PK you can usually afford to wait the bit longer for it. I'd put the remaining points in my attribute stats instead of mana. |

I agree that for a priest, 6 art is probably the way to go. |

While I certainly agree this is a good PK build, I would recommend putting points into mana if possible. Priests are often sanctuary b****es, among other things. Having the extra mana helps a lot in the preparation, and will prevent slowing a group down. When it comes time to PK, you don't have the luxury to sleep when trying to find people. sleeps |

What about shamans being that they are both healers and casters what is the happy medium for them? |

Quoted from a Miran priest, FYI. I think mana can be pretty key, in that it helps with both regen and size of the mana pool. Which is great when leveling, but also great on a priest adventuring or in PK. |
