Cantrip, which I have used for years, now crashes when I hit enter. I just upgraded to a new mac with the new operating system, and apparently it can't handle cantrip. So I downloaded MudWalker. Everything looks great, except: ((Looking up mud.shatteredkingdoms.org...)) ((Connecting to 74.208.75.187:0...)) ((Could not connect: CFSocketConnectToAddress() failed.)) This is consistent. I've also tried mud.vividnet.com , which produces the same result. Oddly enough, there is nowhere I can enter a port number, at least not that I can see from searching for such a setting. Is there a magic step I am missing? |

Other SKers use macs too, and they are online. Is there a way I can use terminal? |

Mac does have a way to get to the terminal. I can't tell you how, but I know you can do it. This article will hopefull be of some use. Then just: Code: telnet mud.shatteredkingdoms.org 1996
That should work. As far as your problems with MudWalker, I would bet that it's trying to connect over port 23, rather than 1996. Dig around and see if you can't modify connection properties. sleeps |
