You can look at HELP NEWBIE if you want! it has a few help files listed inside it as well. If you die, don't freak out! look at HELP DEATH! Typing HELP will give you a giant list of things you can look at too, like HELP GAME as listed. |

Welcome to SK! There's quite a lot to wade through in the newbie help files, but don't feel overwhelmed...the newbie schools do a good job of walking you through the most basic essentials if you follow the learning route. Be sure, if a room description (what you see when you LOOK) tells you to look at a board, or sign, you do so (by typing LOOK SIGN etc). Those will give you a room by room acquaintance with how to get started. Also, feel free to ask more specific questions. The players are great about answering newbies. It's hard in a quick forum reply to explain the whole of the game, but I hope this helps. |
